As some of you may know, I'm a fan of the Rune Factory series. For those unfamiliar, this is a fantasy-themed spinoff of the Harvest Moon games, which takes the original's farming system and adds Zelda-like combat and a fantastic quest.

As I imagine you're not aware, unless you're really good at putting things together or you're a StE person (and I haven't noticed any of those subscribing to me here), I've recently become a fan of RWBY, Rooster Teeth's new project. Not long ago I wouldn't have imagined I'd be interested in any Rooster Teeth thing, but I digress.

Here's where they come together. )

Just thought I'd share.

If we assume crossover between My Little Pony and Avatar: The Last Airbender...

Does the Pony Avatar's cutie mark light up when they go into the Avatar State?

My little sister has been making a plush version of Toothless, from How to Train Your Dragon. She finished it last night, and this morning I took a few pictures.

I have become convinced that Brain is taunting me. It started innocuously enough a few months ago, when I sort of started idly statting out Felix for Homestuck. All was fine for a while, until... someone posted this to one of the Golden Sun groups on deviantArt. Buried in there is a snippet that changes (inner) worlds: "[S] Ivan: Do the windy thing" Immediately, Brain started in on the parallels, and before long had decided that I needed to set up all sixteen party members from the Golden Sun games for Sburb sessions. Soon I had set up a spreadsheet with all the HS kids and trolls, their colors, titles, lands, and so on, and started in on the Sunnites. Now Brain has decided that I ought to set up Himi - the last person to join in Dark Dawn - as being related to Mary, from Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town. Due to the rather twisted way Brain works, this would make her a one-person four-way crossover. (Because, you see, Mary entered the picture as another potential ship for the version of Felix in the Young Wizards 'verse, after I decided it would be too much trouble to make Sheba work both as a similarly-transplanted character and as a love interest for this Felix.)

And, as long as I'm here, [livejournal.com profile] ceitfianna has presented me with questions from the Interview Meme:

→ Leave a comment saying you want to be interviewed.
→ I will respond; I'll ask you five questions.
→ Update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
→ Include this explanation.
→ Ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.

Here's what she asked! )

Y'know what I think would be a really neat crossover fanfic idea?

Sokka somehow ends up in Hyrule, where he stumbles across a dying Link. He must take up the mantle of the Hero of [game topic] and defeat Ganon(dorf). Winning the love of the princess optional.

Think about it. He's already really good at two of Link's most famous things - the [special] Sword and the Boomerang.

Brain, one thing at a time! I don't need yet another - this time completely gratuitous - Ghibli/ATLA crossover in the middle of plotting out a Ghibli/GS crossover.

In other words, no, Pazu's town isn't built on the ruins of Ba Sing Se. Not this time.

Context, says Brain, is a wonderful thing.

We know that the people behind Avatar (TLA) are Miyazaki fans; see, for instance, Appa and several of the spirits. Who's to say it's not recursive and retroactive?

I submit, therefore, that Princess Nausicaä is, in fact, another world's Aang. She's a bit more awesome and more in-tune with nature, and of course female, but she's got her glider that she can ride like the wind itself, and she's single-handedly responsible for the improved status quo at the end.
