A string of 'Iknewit's

I ought to learn to trust my intuitions better. When Tavi was looking for the Black Cat to break Max out I thought to myself, "Maybe she's Kitai?" I then specifically decided that wasn't right, on the grounds that in the prologue Doroga (who would, by the way, be awesome to have the headvoice of) had told her to stay with the gargants and Watch. I, like probably just about any first-time reader, took that to mean watching the former Wax Forest.
Somewhere around that time - the most likely trigger being when Tavi's describing the breakout, but I think it may have been before that - I realized that the Vord were almost certainly in the Deeps. Then I remembered that I'd realized that before, back when someone was mentioning that there'd been disappearances in the Deeps recently.
The third recent Iknewit was a long time coming. Back in Furies of Calderon, when Kitai's eyes changed color, with no more information about the Marat than Tavi had, and without having at any time noticed Tavi's eye color mentioned, said "He's her totem!" It was a while to wait for the payoff, but I love being able to tell these things.
