How long will this keep going?
Since about the twelfth about half of the letters-to-the-editor section of The Salt Lake Tribune have been, at least ostensibly, reactions to the recent conflict between the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and a homosexual couple regarding what is appropriate behavior on the Main Street Plaza, which the church owns.
In that time I have seen four - four! - of these letters that were not explicitly bashing the church.
I know, I should be thinking of this in terms of D&C 122 - "Know, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good... Fear not what man can do, for God shall be with you forever and ever." But it's just... arrgh.
