Nov. 15th, 2007 05:50 pmSo it seems I have a fantasy world building itself in my head. Uniquely for me, it "borrows" nothing more specific than the existence of golems from any fiction I've read. (At least not since I drove out the Sendarians.)

limyaael's rants, or perhaps the comments thereunto, particularly the ones involving practical use of magic and uncommon methods of record-keeping. On the train one day a magibureaucracy showed up in my head, in which golems operate printing presses to copy government records onto clay tablets, which are then shrunk so they don't take much room. It has since expanded, although I'm pretty sure it's not done yet. I really hope not, anyway, since most of what I know of its magic is that matter, life, and emotion cannot be created or destroyed.
I do rather wish I knew the names of the world, the countries, the people... Anything, really.
