YouTube people doubly so, and fanvidders even more.

Let's start at the beginning, in a manner of speaking, shall we? Some time ago, I posted a link to a video setting "At the Beginning" from Anastasia to clips from Castle in the Sky. To my great disappointment, that video has since been deleted because Warner is very jealous of people listening to their music without paying each time and not been re-uploaded.

Fast-forward to yesterday. My Christmas gift to my sister, at her request, was the Anastasia soundtrack. Naturally, she started playing it fairly loudly through the house. Now, I've never actually watched Anastasia; I've seen a grand total of about ten minutes, including the final battle. So I thought I might see what Youtube had for a couple of the songs.

That led to my discovery of the unutterable silliness that is this.

Oh, but wait, there's more. I'm sure you're aware of movie-trailer repurposing? Check this out. I'm heartily amused by their casting choices, and it's made even funnier by the fact that I can identify each and every character, and in many cases the episode, scene, and line of dialogue. (Less so for Ozai/Rasputin, since I've only gotten about three quarters through Season 3.) I've also found... oh, dear. At least fourteen differently-titled Avatar interpretations of the Twilight trailers there, but they don't interest me as much because nothing about Twilight has ever piqued my interest.

(Curiously, the vast majority of Avatar stuff out there that isn't straight "Episode X online" appears to be skewed toward the left-hand ship. (I'm over there with Iroh, for the record, just laughing my head off at it all.)

Edit: *snerk* Speaking of laughing my head off... the above ridiculous shipping wars (Did you really think I'd pass up such a blatant trope link?) combined with a song that's always struck me as ridiculous.

Huff.

See, IE, this is why I prefer to use Firefox. (Which, in turn, is why I have so many tabs open that Firefox has trouble playing any video, which is why I have to keep turning to IE. But we're not mentioning that.)

Anyway, in Firefox, if I type the address and get it right, it never takes me to a Bing search. If I select the address from my history it certainly never does a search. If the target no longer exists there it might give me a "Problem Loading Page" message, but never a "do you want to find this?".

I can possibly understand you getting a bit stroppy with those pages that don't load properly without the www on the beginning, but anything beyond that... no, thank you.
