I've long thought of my online self as "Kd7". This is because, frankly, while "kd7sov" makes a great unique identifier, there's no real way to pronounce it in under five syllables.

But people in Crackchat, via some sort of communal osmosis, almost universally call me "KD".

Thus we come to today, when I was greeted in Crackchat as "Kd7"... and wondered, for a split moment, who was being addressed. Apparently my online self now has a subsection that is not Kd7, but KD.

Crackchat is always interesting in terms of naming. Early on I was dubbed Fi and then people who've met me outside of crack and such call me Kate.

So I get confused when suddenly I'm addressed as Kate in chat even though its actually my name.

I'm not sure of the logic of all of these things but I find it fascinating and I love that icon of yours.
