Five Questions meme!

1) Comment with some indication of your willingness!
2) I give you five questions.
3) You post your answers, either in the comments here or in your own journal.

[livejournal.com profile] ceitfianna gave me these questions:

1) What book changed how you thought about the world? I'm not sure I can point to any specific book. I want to say something like The Silmarillion or the Narnia books, but those changed my thinking mostly in the details.

2) You only have five words to describe yourself. What are they? Ah, I don't like this sort of question... smart, inattentive, comfortable, personally conservative.

3) You open the door to find a fictional character that wants you to travel with them. Who are they and where are you going? My first instinct is to say Link, from the Zelda games, but I have no idea where he'd want me to go. On the other hand.... OOOH. D'Natheil. (Well, Karon. Identity's sort of an odd question there.) Post-canon Avonar.

4) Last meal on earth, what would you have? Well, assuming I know in advance that it's to be last... Oh, I don't know, I can never pick meals. i'd probably go out to Sizzler or some such place.

5) What do you think I should be reading or watching? Avatar: The Last Airbender. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The Young Wizards books by Diane Duane. Books by Connie Willis, particularly To Say Nothing of the Dog. Just about anything that comes out of Studio Ghibli.

Word ones are always hard, that's why I ask them because I don't know how to answer them.

I've already started on the first rec, I watched the second when it aired, tried the Young Wizards books but I couldn't really get into them.

Also I once won a Connie Willis' book off of a mailing list and wasn't really impressed it, it was called Dog Gone and it was so folksy it hurt.

Ah, that explains it.
