So I am contemplating a thing.

Well, okay. Technically I was contemplating it and have now started doing something about it. But I thought I'd put the concept out there before any of the rest of it.

So. I've heard of these "Legacy Challenges" in Sims 2 and 3. The concept of which, for those who care and haven't heard of them, is that you follow a given family of Sims through a number of generations. There are a few variants, but that's the core idea.

So I decided, for no very excellent reason, to make my own. I would make a neighborhood, and a Sim, and follow that family for some time. I have come up with some rules, some more considered than others. There is no scoring.

1. No member of the Legacy family shall leave the Legacy lot for any reason other than to attend public school.
2. No hacks or cheats may be employed. (minor exception: I do have a limiter on vampire bites, but since I have no reason to give this neighborhood a downtown I don't expect this to affect anything at all.)
3. Each new Sim's Aspiration and (where applicable) Zodiac sign are to be determined randomly. No Aspiration may be held by two or more new Sims in a row.
4. Only the current Legacy heir, the previous Legacy heir, and the children of the current Legacy heir may be controlled directly. (The title passes upon reaching adulthood.) Influence is permitted.
5. No Legacy heir may reproduce more than twice, unless all of his or her children have died.
6. If a Legacy heir (or spouse thereof) is judged infertile, the title may pass to the next sibling, where applicable.

Any thoughts? I've already started working on this, but I'm not very far in; it wouldn't be hard to change and start over if someone has an idea I like better than my own.
