It seems this is what happens...

When I read Carpe Jugulum too close to watching "Kindness of Strangers". Ah, well.

Dear Kring & co.,

You need to bring in Oats. More specifically, you need to introduce into your show (Heroes) a character along the lines of Terry Pratchett's Mightily-Praiseworthy-Are-Ye-Who-Exalteth-Om Oats: one who is quite fallible, but extremely moral. I am noticing a distinct preference against morality lately. For instance:

  • The Promiscuous Petrelli Brothers, a group that seems to be attempting to induct Claire, even though she's not a brother nor, if my understanding is correct, legally a Petrelli.

  • Claire Bennett, who appears to think nothing of lying and oathbreaking in the name of seeing her new boyfriend; who, furthermore, has no regard for her adoptive father, who has taken no action that we know of in the last fourteen years that was against what he perceived as her best interests; and who either does not know or does not care about the danger into which she is putting herself, her family, and anyone who comes in contact with her.

  • Mohinder and Matt; even my non-shippy, and even more non-slashy, brain cannot come up with a more plausible reason for their living together than that they are "living in sin"; even moreso because Matt strikes me as a Catholic, and they seem to typically have rather strong views on homosexuality.

  • Micah Sanders, who appears to see nothing wrong with hacking in the cause of letting his cousin watch a bunch of men jumping around in their underwear and getting each other all bloody.

It seems clear to me that there is distinct need of a highly moral character in your show. I therefore urge you to introduce Oats as quickly as is feasible, and preferably not kill him off quickly.

Now that I think about it, about the only characters I feel favorably disposed toward at the moment are the Haitian (who really needs a name), Noah, Monica, and Hiro. Also Zach, but he's been left behind in favor of a very negative influence.
