So a cousin of mine got married today.

I have decided certain things about when I and my siblings get married. I won't do anything along the lines of defacing their cars. (I'm not confident [livejournal.com profile] mikethecelloist will feel the same way, though, so I'll hide my own car. If I have one by that point.) I will have a receiving line at the reception. I won't indulge in Ritual Adherence to Senseless Slapstick Tradition (which is to say, smashing cake in people's faces).

There was one thing quite good about the reception, though. We arrived early, since that's what we do. As such, there was plenty of time in which nothing was happening except people running around tucking and untucking the corners of lacy ribbon-ish table decorations, and vhot do I know about dot fancy shtoff, ja? So, I sit in an out-of-the-way place and open up a book. That book was So You Want To Be A Wizard.

I tell you, I have never had such a k'klikit'kak. During chapter 1, where Nita is reading the Wizardly Aptitude stuff in her soon-to-be Manual, I got an utter explosion of backstory from [livejournal.com profile] dalzoon. In many ways, it's lots more than baseline!Felix has ever given me.
