NO. SHUT UP.

Thank you. Now. Obama has been elected before. This was, in fact, a contiguous reelection. He's not going to decide to suddenly make things worse now, any more than he decided to suddenly make things worse two years ago when various Senators and Representatives were replaced.

Also: whatever your politics, I'm sure you can agree that America has had less-than-stellar presidents in the past. It has survived. You know what it can't survive? This kind of partisan divisiveness. If I may borrow the words with which one great man paraphrased One even greater:

A house divided against itself cannot stand.

If half of us hate the other half, why are we together in the first place? Vote the candidate or the issue, but never vote for someone just because of their political party.

And, on an entirely different note, three days remain. Seventy-two hours.

I think I can get to the pony music on my mp3 player around then without cheating. Les Mis remains, along with Man of La Mancha, but if I have it playing while I make dinner tomorrow it should come out about even.
