You know, sometimes I amaze myself by remembering that nearly everything I currently do on the Internet descends, in one way or another, from a single Google search.
I'm not quite sure how the timeline works, but parts of it have to have happened at particular points.
Sometime in early 2004, then, I did a Google search for "Golden Sun 3". It had to be then, because a year later I was already well-established on some of the later places, and before that there was no Golden Sun 2. This search led me, among other places, to the Mercury Lighthouse Forums (this link is to their current location, not where they were when I found them). Somewhere in there I found a link to Fanfiction.net. I browsed there for a while, until an old story directed me to Camilla Sandman's World of Dreams. From there I found, in approximately the following order, the DOGA PPC Archives, Suedom, and the PPC Posting Board. Suedom then led me (on November 1, 2005) to Milliways Bar, which in turn led to Harry Potter and the Legacy of the Light. (This is one of the places where the timeline has me confused, since I'm pretty sure it would have been linked in the back room, rather than in the main comm, but I remember reading it in late December '05, whereas I'm pretty sure I didn't know about the back room until about January 5 '06.) At some point after that, DOGA led me to the List of Everything PPC, which led me into Livejournal to a much greater extent. The PPC Board, of course, led me to any number of places.
So that's how I got to at least a lot of where I am today.
